DIN 19643

Requirements of DIN 19643

This standard guarantees the maintenance of hygiene, aesthetics and safety of pool waters in swimming and bathing pools in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases through germs. The water is examined for a number of germs, including escherichia coli (intestinal bacteria), pseudomonas aeriginos (waterborne germ which can cause illnesses such as outer ear infections, skin infections and lung infections in the immuno-suppressed) and CFU (colony-forming units). In principle, there should be no pseudomonas aeruginosa or escherichia colia in 100 ml of pool water.
